Family Values?

Regular readers of Highlander Web Magazine will be aware that we keep a very close eye on the comings and goings at the House of Corruption in London from where a handful of English MP's rule "Britain". This week has been particularly eventful as far as politics go with rather more "goings" than normal.

Piers Merchant MP (Conservative) has been troubled this week following the release of photographs in which he is seen kissing and feeling a 17 year old "Nightclub Hostess". Needless to say his wife wasn't there, yet, amazingly he has retained the confidence of his Party and will be standing for election on May 1st. Family values were always important to the Tories!

Sir Michael Hirst (Conservative Chairman in Scotland) has resigned this week following a "past indiscretion". It turned out that a homosexual relationship constituted the "past indiscretion" and Sir Michael just had to go. And so he did on an expensive holiday with his family in order to escape a media grilling. Perhaps this is the return to family values that the Tories have long suggested "Britain" requires?

Two other Conservative MP's have been treated to the glare of public life too this week. Sexual indiscretion excluded, these two characters have been caught with their hands in other peoples pockets. Both it seems have been taking large amounts of cash in return for asking parliamentary questions. MP's are supposed to be above accepting bribes and other forms of dishonesty. While one has been forced to resign the other is battling on trying to clear his name with a degree of futility indicative of a lost cause. Funny but I can't think of too many families who have the benefit of increasing their fiscal value by taking bribes! Family values?

Allan Stewart MP (Conservative) has also resigned this week following yet another sexual indiscretion. Mr Stewart, a self confessed alcoholic, at least prefers ladies. He had been caught out after having had an affair with an attractive middle aged woman.

Michael Forsyth MP (Conservative) it seems has decided that family values involve moving his family to London. Mr Forsyth has recently sold his home near Stirling in preparation for losing his seat at the forthcoming election and bought a house in London. It is therefore very difficult to believe him when he says that Scotland is important to him and that he is committed to the Scottish Nation and its people. The fact of the matter is that he can't wait to move south. Of course, all of this has been kept very quiet by Mr Forsyth. Perhaps his values involve misleading his countrymen!

All this messy business has some way to go I am told. Max Clifford, a publicist, it seems is holding on to a major story concerning "a top Tory". Mr Clifford has long been disgruntled by the devastating effect of the Tories on "Britains" health service and has vowed to release his story of perverse sexual exploits at the most damaging time during the election campaign. My friends and I have been trying to identify the "top Tory" without success but with a great deal of amusing speculation. We shall just have to wait and see who the "top Tory" is and what he, or indeed she, has been up to.

If it was not for the serious nature of all of these sexual and financial indiscretions it could actually be quite amusing. But these people have been running the affairs of Scotland without accountability while simultaneously giving their own "affairs" preferential treatment. It is actually far from amusing and the Scots would do well to be shot of any connection to London corruption and sexual perversion.

What the Scots so obviously need is their own Government. We need to support any policy which can help our great country do just that. Fortunately there is but one choice.

Vote for the Scottish National Party and help yourself, and your country, return to the true values which the Scots have long upheld.

The Scottish National Party are Best for Scotland.

    Until Next Week

    Compton
