The National Wallace Monument which was built in 1869 as a memorial to Sir William Wallace also pays tribute to some of Scotlands other national heroes.
On the second floor of the monument you'll find the Hall of Heroes.
In this vaulted chamber you'll find sculpted marble busts of:
Impressive though these busts are they do in fact appear insignificant to the superb statue of Sir William himself, which appears about half way up the outer wall of the monument.
If you live in, or intend to visit, Scotland you simply must make a point of visiting the National Wallace Monument.
