: : : : waiting your reply.

: : : Hi Kathy!! My name is Sandy and I live in Idaho. I used to live in CA and I miss it. please write!

: : Hi fellow California girls!

: : This is Denise and I am from California (Chino,Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa areas) too! I now live in Seattle and miss So. Cal. very much! Even for me, the people here are far too serious--although I will say that, since I have been here, I have read more books than I have in my entire life (I have also watched more TV--but I suppose that's less of a positive)!
: :Hi Denise,
: I have been to Seattle and I always remember that
: it rains a lot. I heard that Washington is
: getting crowded too. Have you heard about the
: officals have closed some parts of Huntington
: Beach due to high levels of Bacteria? The
: interesting thing is that the levels were okay
: around the time of Labor Day Weekend. But then
: the following weekend, the levels were back up
: again. What I fear that there were so many
: people swimming in the ocean, that they probably
: will get sick due to this demand by the shop
: keepers. Just last week, they discovered the
: leak( after two months). It was due to old sewage
: pipes that leaked out to the ocean. No wonder I
: don't go to the beach anymore. The weather is
: finally turning into Fall. It is getting colder
: and crisper. The leaves are turning and the days
: are getting shorter. Write soon
: Kathleen

It does rain a lot! In fact, we only get about a month and a half of what one would call "summer" up here. Also, Washington is getting crowded but it is nowhere near as crowded as the LA Metro area.

I didn't hear about the bacteria problems at HB this time, but I understand that this has been a recurring problem over the past few years. I agree with you about the opening of the beach being due to the demands of shopkeepers. How typical! Everything in Orange County seems to take a back seat to the almighty dollar with hardly a thought to the welfare of the people who live there.

Fall is finally here in Seattle, too. It's really beautiful this time of year--in fact, it's my favorite season. Did you say that you lived in the Bay area? Write sonn!

Denise
